Your phone won’t receive MMS? Here’s how to configure it so it will

Have you received an SMS with a link and a message saying you’ve received an MMS?  If so, your phone’s multimedia messaging service has not been appropriately configured. Here’s what you need to do to receive MMS messages in the future with no problems.

Vodafone

1. Your phone won’t receive MMS? Here’s how to configure it so it will

Android: Go to Settings > Wireless & networks > Mobile network > Access Point Names. Press the menu button and choose to add new APN.

Apple: Go to Settings > Mobile Data > Mobile Data Network.

O2

1. Make sure your phone can receive MMS messages.

2. Go to o2.co.uk.

3. Click ‘Help and support’, on the right side of the screen.

4. Choose ‘Set up MMS and mobile internet’.

5. Choose either ‘Get set up if you have an iPhone’ or ‘Get set up if you have any other phone’.

6. Type in your mobile number.

O2 will text the right settings straight to your phone. You should only have to press ‘OK’ to set it all up.

TalkTalk

Many TalkTalk mobile phones receive settings automatically. Soon after you insert your SIM, you’ll receive a text message welcoming you to TalkTalk Mobile and letting you know that your settings will follow. It’s quite simple to install them as they come with on-screen instructions. However, if you need to do this manually, follow these instructions:

Go to the 'Settings' menu under 'Network settings' or 'Access Point Names' (APN). On an iPhone, tap Settings in the main iPhone menu > Mobile Data > Mobile Data Options > Mobile Data Network. Once you've found the place, enter all of the below configuration settings:
