Mobile devices' users can restrict their phone number to make it invisible to others. In today's guide, we shall explain how to restrict a number for one time and for a longer time period on Android devices.
If we only aim to restrict a number once there is a simple way of doing so. Simply typing #141# before a phone number is enough to make our number show as unknown on the call receiver's phone.
Most Android-based devices have a similar process of restricting a number:
• In the Phone settings pick "Call settings";
• Then pick "Additional settings";
• The last step is to pick "Caller ID" and using "Restrict a number" option.
Number restriction: pros and cons The main advantage of number restriction is the protection of our privacy. For example, if you call a company they would not be able to keep our number without our permission. On the other side, you have to consider that many people do not pick up restricted calls or have them completely disabled. Due to that, it is possible that you may have trouble calling your relatives and friends.
